fiery_ringWill leads the horses through the series of jumps.
They're nearly ready. Everything is nearly ready. They both have jobs, they're engaged, six months of tour will be starting in just a couple of months. Less, even. It's almost half term.
He smiles as he looks out over the stables. Even though they'll only be here half the year, this is his legacy. He has a good manager lined up. This place will keep his family, his and Carlotta's family, secure even if the circus work doesn't do well. And he's proud of that.
He's sure she'll pull off the circus part though. It'll be fun to travel. Though he's sure she'll be glad of being in a nice house in winter, or when the first baby comes along.
"Hey, dreamer!" Carlotta calls out, coming up behind him standing on another horse. "Surveying your kingdom?"
"Our kingdom." Will grins, as she crouches low enough on the horse to kiss him. "Half the year anyway. I wish you'd hurry up and leave school."
"And miss the last term, saying goodbye to all my friends?" Carlotta says. "I love you Will, but I've come this far, I'd like to finish this properly."
"I know." Will reaches over and plays with her hair. "Contracts won't start yet anyway. But I'm so excited."
"Me too. But we've got all the time in the world."
