fiery_ringCarlotta, having been summonned to Miss Theobald's office, enters with a feeling of trepidation. Her form tutor is sitting there next to the head, and they're looking serious but not grim.
"Sit down Carlotta." Miss Theobald says.
Carlotta sits.
"Am I in trouble?"
"That depends." Miss Theobald says. "Miss Cornwallis tells me that you have been sighted holding hands with a boy while wearing school uniform."
Carlotta goes red. Will helped her carry her trunk back to school after she spent the week at the stables. It wasn't like anything inappropriate happened; she just spent a week staying in Libby's room helping out with the horses. It was great work experience.
She conveys this to the teachers.
"We trust you that nothing inappropriate happened Carlotta." Miss Theobald says quickly. "But school rules are rules, and holding hands with a boy is against the six inch rule. It reflects poorly on the school for you to be seen in that manner in uniform. You are confined to the grounds for two weeks. So long as nothing else inappropriate occurs we shall say no more about it."
Carlotta groans once she's outside of the office. Who sneaked on her?
She finds out by the time she gets to the common room, and sees Angela's triumphant smirk.
